A serious photographer for over 12 years, I strive to capture poignant or humorous moments from simple encounters with people, wildlife and our surroundings.
In my view, photographic art need not be radical. While there are many excellent examples of fictional images in the photographic art world today, I prefer the truth of real life experiences. None of the depicted scenes was staged.
I've been a member of the Cambridge (MA) Art Association (juried), North Cambridge Arts (NoCA), the North Cambridge Photographic Society and the Jerusalem Photo Club. I also serve on the media team of the Israel Football League.
My photographs have been exhibited in numerous and diverse settings. I'm a frequent contributor to The Jerusalem Post. Other publications and venues have included:
The Times of Israel
The Glassman Family Center of AACI, Jerusalem, Israel
The Vermont Center for Photography in Brattleboro, VT
The Stebbins Gallery in Cambridge, MA
Gallery 1581 in Brookline, MA
Johnny D's Uptown in Somerville, MA
Harvard University
My photograph "November" was awarded Honorable Mention at the 2006 "Gift of Art for AIDS" in Arlington, MA and featured in the event's calendar.
I live in Jerusalem, Israel with my wife Debbie, our daughter Ilana and our dog Sheleg.
